David and Teresa Lance
David and Teresa Lance both come from Watkinsville, Georgia, just outside of Athens. They were high school sweethearts and both went to the University of Georgia. Dating through their college years, they finally tied the knot after David’s last year of pharmacy school. After they were married, Teresa ran her parents' day care and David became involved in pharmacy sales. He works with Eli Lilly as a sales manager for the hospital division. Their family has lived in Indianapolis, Dallas, and Knoxville, but they’ve been in Nashville for nine years.

Tom Cox grew up on base at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland--the son of the team doctor and the youngest of four boys. Although his family did not attend church regularly, some friends on base invited Tom to a Sunday school near the Academy chapel. An African-American Quaker midshipman led the class. It was there that Tom gained a strong affinity for God and a conscience to please him.
